Global Handwashing Day

Statistics indicate that diarrhea kills more than 760,000 children, under the age of five, every year.

Hand washing with soap and water, limits the risk of this disease. It’s also considered the second leading cause of death for children under the age of five, fortunately it can be prevented and treated.

Globally, there are about 1.5 billion cases of diarrhea disease each year.
The United Nation’s General Assembly set October 15th, as Global Hand washing Day to raise awareness of the importance of washing hands with soap and water to prevent diseases.
