Our Impact Stories
Restoring Hope in Conflict-Affected Communities
In the heart of Africa, where conflict has torn apart the lives of millions, THESO through implementing partners has been a lifeline for hope and survival. Across South Sudan, Sudan, DR Congo, CAR, and Kenya, we have rebuilt devastated health, education, agriculture, and WASH systems to serve over 3.5 million displaced individuals. With limited resources but unwavering dedication, our Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and implementing partners have established mobile clinics and delivered life-saving services such as maternal care, immunizations, nutrition programs, clean water access, and education in emergencies. These efforts have reached vulnerable populations in urban centres, UN Protection of Civilian (PoC) sites, and remote rural areas. One mother in South Sudan shared her story: "I lost everything in the conflict—my home, my family's safety. But THESO gave us clean water and treated my children when they were sick. They gave me hope when I thought there was none." Today, families across these regions have access to reliable healthcare, clean water, food security, and education—restoring their dignity and resilience amidst adversity.
