The Health Support Organisation (THESO) is a value-based leading 501 (C ) (3 ) registered South Sudanese based nonprofit organisation dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through results-based humanitarian emergency response and communities development programmes.

Formed in 2005, incorporated in 2008 by South Sudanese doctors to support the national efforts in addressing health challenges in South Sudan, THESO is a private, voluntary, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organisation headquartered in Juba South Sudan. Its mission is to implement evidence- based, culturally sensitive, innovative projects promoting health, education, food security/nutrition and WASH according to perceived national needs and priorities as understood through quality research.

The Health Support Organisation (THESO) 2030 vision focuses on developmental and humanitarian project implementation while building sustainable CSOs and government line ministries capacity to implement and improve in quality of all sectoral equitable services delivery to the populations. THESO work in partnership with national CSOs and government line ministries and strengthen engagement between the public and private-sectors, donors, communities and nongovernmental organisations for development, industrialisation and human capital development.

THESO 2030 Strategy

THESO 2030 strategy is contributing to achieving THESO 2070 blueprint and government’s 2040 vision and beyond while meeting global strategies 2030 Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4 and 6 set targets and beyond. To establish a well-performing Health, Education, Nutrition and WASH systems in South Sudan, THESO will continue to work with Government, UN Agencies and other stakeholders to achieves resilience and sustained Health, Education, Nutrition and WASH outcomes through continuous improvement of the four sectors.
